[Fic] Journey of Mac - Prologue
Jul. 19th, 2009 06:36 amTitle: Journey of Mac
Fandom: Punch-Out!!
Rating: PG?
Words: 176
Story Notes: This fic will be based off of the Wii version, not the NES/SNES. If I am feeling up to it though, there might be a match from said games, but otherwise it's the Wii version. Also, because there isn't anything official on Mac's full name, I made one up and will be referred to as such...sometimes. Enjoy the little tease. ;D

Prologue
The towel sailed through the air, but at that time it was too late. He could’ve sworn that he heard his name called out by…who was that? Doc? He was somehow looking up at the arena’s ceiling, lights and fireworks exploding before his eyes.
“…Five…”
“…Six…”
A dark figure standing over him blocked out the lights, tall and broad, his face in a triumphant snarl.
“…Seven…”
Even though his ears were still ringing, he could still hear his own ragged breath and the howling derisive laughter that came from the figure. “You’ll never beat me,” he said, leaving from his view.
What the hell was he talking about?
“…Eight…”
“…Nine…”
“Mac? Mac?!” Doc suddenly appeared in his view. He was waving something. What’s he doing here? The match was still going on! “Mac, can you hear me? Wake up!” Doc Louis reached down and shook him gently by the shoulders as his vision began to black out. Even the two loudest bells that signified his defeat didn’t wake the small, lean boxer from the Bronx.
In fact, Macharius didn’t realize he had lost the title match until he regained consciousness two days later in the city hospital.
