djtenku: mood - stagnant (dais/rajura - hmph)
I've seriously neglected writing, Mouse, and most of all, Patrick. I've been trying to kickstart writing, but I just have this massive block... and I think Pat has gone somewhere. I mean, he pops up every now and then... it's my fault; I've neglected him too. Of course, I feel awful! :(

...anyway, I've had these three scenes floating in my head for quite a while, to the point where they impeded progress. I haven't really written anything either. Then again, this is a side effect of having a social life. (I know...) Which is why I called them a purge, write the stuff down that's been bothering me -- as is -- so I can top thinking about it. Since then, they haven't come up. Maybe because I typed them down right, or mostly right and didn't need to change it, or... something else.

This particular Purge was... it bothered me. I don't know if you noticed, but I like to maim people. It's almost a trait that I have in mind when I'm writing, but not actually to the point they're killed. Maybe like one person, but... I am probably thinking of Vincent (from Nightingale... you'll get this later on).

Let me say this much; it gets lampshaded in the third purge, and it turns out to be a huge game-breaking injury as time goes on. And you're probably gonna go, 'come the hell on, Tenku!' but at the same time, stranger things have happened. It's really a matter of sheer willpower on everyone's part really. Did I mention this is incredibly spoilerish? Like I spoiled myself. Anyway, here is the context, and the Purge behind the cut.

(context: Kento has accidentally discovered Orion’s office, in which the doctor attempts to make civilized conversation. As time passes, Kento becomes increasingly agitated with the man; Orion simply brushes him off because of the fact he doesn’t harm those smaller than him, or at least showing incredible restraint.)

And this Purge... in retrospect wish I was I could've been a little more sentimental... so this is probably the one I'll change.

This is also the shortest, but I think effective; would've been long winded but like I said before, it's a Purge. I also had a tough time choosing the song to listen to; "Her" and "Beyond Love" by Fat Jon, mainly because it's about Shina -- they're both soft songs and fit this one pretty well. She has most of the lines in this one. It was actually pretty hard because it is an emotional scene for her, but I think I got the right balance. Plus, there is a line said that Kento doesn't catch until the last Purge. I thought about putting the reaction in but, that would sort of ...what's the word.

Anyway, context is that Kento finally reaches the mansion and into her suite -- and he's hiding out there while other stuff happens; close calls, some ingenious hiding tactics... hijinks ensue. But, this is set during at night, and well, they have a minor disagreement.

Denial hurts. )

And this Purge took me the least amount of time to do, like an hour and a half, and I don't know why that is.

So, time slows down a bit here, or at least as fast as both Rowan and Kento can... I was gonna start the middle of this, but I remembered that I actually haven't thought that far. I know, it's a bit backwards, but the set up is important, right? It's not as squicky as I thought it would be either. Which is good because after the first Purge, things just go downhill from there. Like it's gonna be a record for me, maybe except towards the end. Not sure, but we'll see when we get to that point.

The dialogue is a bit odd, considering what happened to Rowan earlier, Kento as well. The time between the first and this one, is... how can I put this. It's strange. It's the only word I can come up with, and I'm surprised I haven't written it down somewhere, because I still don't know what happens. Just... strange things. The dialogue's also strange as well, but when you consider what happened... and things get lampshaded. Description will probably be added later, but from some reactions, I think I got my point across this time.

But I like how Rowan doesn't point out that Kento can (briefly) see out of his right eye the whole time. At the same time, I don't think he would've noticed anyway.
